Hazrat Abdullah bin Mughaffal (R) narrates that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "The worst type of thief is the one who steals from his Salah." The Sahabah y asked, ‘O Rasulullah! How can a person steal from his Salah?’ He replied, "He does not complete the Ruku’ and Sajdah (properly)." (Musnad Ahmad, Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, Mustadrak lil Hakim)
The standing posture after Ruku, before going into Sajdah is called ‘Qaumah’, whilst the sitting posture between the two Sajdahs is called ‘Jalsah’. It is compulsory to make Ruku, Qaumah, Sajdah and Jalsah with Ta’deel Arkaan (calmly and with composure). Calmly means that after performing Ruku, one should stand up straight until all limbs are relaxed and at ease – do not rush towards Sajdah. To remain in this relaxed posture for the duration of saying Subhanallah once is Wajib (compulsory). If the Salah is performed haphazardly by omitting this important injunction, it could seriously impact on the validity of one’s Salah. Furthermore, it draws the condemnation of the Hadith.
Salah is the very first item to be questioned about on the Day of Judgement, and every effort should be made to perform it in the best manner possible.
