Darul Ihsan Blanket Drive Spreads Warmth to Bergville Community

On Saturday, 11 July 2026, the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre Outreach Team reached the Oliviershoek Clinic in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, in the early hours of the morning.

Warmly received by the sister in charge, Sister L. Ngubane, the team was introduced to the friendly Clinic staff on duty. While setting up in preparation to distribute items, the crowd outside grew, singing with appreciation and thanks for the team’s presence.

Following an opening message by Sister Gwala, the team immediately began distribution of 100 blankets and snack packs to all of the senior citizens and children present. The team was deeply moved by the heartfelt gratitude expressed by the elderly for the items received, which will help give warmth and comfort during this cold season.

The Blanket Drive distribution was a success, with the Outreach Team also receiving thanks from the Clinic Management for bringing warmth and hope to their patients.

Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre wishes to continue this fruitful relationship with the Oliviershoek Clinic, and aspires to serve and uplift communities in need.
