Participants included learners from:
Al Ihsan Muslim School
Al Ihsan Teacher Training Academy
Madrasah Noor for the Blind
M.A. Motala Centre
Various other tertiary educational institutions and youth development programmes
The programme aimed to equip young people with practical tools to navigate the challenges of modern life while remaining firmly grounded in Islamic values and committed to personal development.
Through a series of interactive presentations, participants were encouraged to reflect on who they are, who they aspire to become, and the steps required to bridge that gap. The sessions emphasised the importance of discipline, emotional resilience, consistency and purposeful living.
A Special Visit from Madrasah Noor for the Blind
A highlight of the programme was the visit by learners and senior Ulama from Madrasah Noor for the Blind, a unique institution based in Cedara, South Africa. Their presence added a special and inspiring dimension to the day's proceedings.
Participants had the opportunity to witness first-hand how blind and visually impaired learners recite from Braille texts. The visiting learners beautifully recited verses of the Holy Qur’an and passages from Hadith, demonstrating their dedication, perseverance and commitment to acquiring Islamic knowledge.
This was followed by a short address by Hazrat Moulana Hassan Murchi (Hafizahullah), founder and principal of Madrasah Noor for the Blind. His presence and the learners' recitations provided an uplifting experience for all those in attendance.
