During these difficult and challenging economic circumstances, the Darul Ihsan Welfare Department (DIWD) continues to receive frequent calls for assistance. With the rising unemployment rates exceeding that of 40% and the increased cost of living, many a family are left vulnerable attempting to make ends meet.
All praise is for Allah Ta’ala. As Muslims, we praise Him, and forever seek assistance from Him. We also seek His forgiveness for all our shortcomings, and we seek refuge from Allah Ta’ala for our bad actions and the evil that hides within us. Whoever Allah Ta’ala guides and directs, there’s none that can misguide him, and whoever Allah Ta’ala does not guide (the misguided ones) there’s none in order to guide him.
The Darul Ihsan Welfare Department assists individuals and families who face complex situations, especially due to financial constraints.

DHC has been receiving a growing number of applicants requesting funding for setting up a SMALL BUSINESS. It is common knowledge that many big and medium-sized businesses are either closing down or downsizing. This sad trend in the business-world is unfortunately on the increase.
During the first week of May, the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre (DHC) received a letter of thanks from the Thembalethu Care Centre for its ongoing support of and dedication to the Lamontville community, Durban.
Besides all other Utility Bills, the Welfare Department of Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre (DHC) also receives request to assist in paying medical bills.
Our Nabi [Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam] has taught that one who is not grateful to people cannot be grateful to Allah.

For the past three months, Brother Mohammed M struggled severely with unemployment. Unable to afford his utility bills, he contacted the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre which – after an assessment of the situation – assisted him financially to pay his electricity accounts for the last few months when he could not.
Alhamdulillah this years food was nice and tasty. I can't complain because the people was happy with the food.

Its the first time I have ever received help from an organization for my child since my grandfather passed away.
Due to the pandemic and the lockdown many have lost their jobs.

The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown took a toll on many employed – even casual workers – to remain employed or seek work within the lockdown circumstances.
I am a 60 years old male. I work for a madrassah and drive a bus to commute children to and from the madrassah.
Having to care for five children, their school fees, clothing, medical, transport, food provisions, etc. is not easy for a single parent mom. The father of the children assists if and when he feels like!
Mr P is a dialysis patient.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances his medical aid was discontinued and there were no funds available for him to continue with his life-supporting kidney dialysis treatment.
