This week during bilateral talks between International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola and Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi in Pretoria, South Africa aimed to expand trade and investment relations and seeks to collaborate with Japan in other sectors.
In an effort to improve road safety for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, the Saudi General Authority for Roads launched the “Darbak Noor” (‘Your Path is Light’) initiative, which focuses on reducing driver fatigue and improving visibility on busy roads used by pilgrims.
In a collaborative effort, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye are currently planning a railway from Turkiye to Jeddah, which will travel through Makkah, Madinah, Jordan, and Syria, then to Istanbul.

On Saturday, 18 April 2026, the Daughters Of the Ummah (DOU) youth group held an event titled “Gems & Gelato” at the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre in Sea Cow Lake, Durban. It was met with a staggering attendance of close to 80 Muslimahs, aged between 9-15.
On Saturday, 28 March 2026, the Daughters of the Ummah (DOU) hosted an engaging programme featuring essential discussions focusing on holistic health and Hayd for prospective Hujjaj as well as those performing Umrah.
The event saw an attendance of over 30 ladies at the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre, Sea Cow Lake, Durban.
