With the grace and mercy of Allah, this Ramadan, the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre facilitated consistent food donations to several different areas across Durban. This included Iftaar provisions, hot meals, drinks, as well as grocery packs.
Masjid Bilal in Castlehill, Durban is a Masjid located close to a number of urban suburbs with a vibrant Muslim community. In Ramadan, the Masjid comes alive with activity and locals attend the various programmes at the Masjid.
Alhamdulillah, by the grace and mercy of Almighty Allah, Youth of the Ummah successfully hosted its 16th Annual Ramadan Youth Night titled “Our Call of Duty” on Friday night, 6 March 2026, at Masjid Mu’adh bin Jabal, Berea West (Westville). The programme commenced after Taraweeh and concluded close to midnight, with a strong and enthusiastic turnout from the youth.
Since the initiative’s inception more than a decade ago, Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre and Al-Falaah College has distributed over a million slices of bread to vulnerable communities across the Durban area. The Feed A Pupil project provides breakfast to some 60 schools in Durban, South Africa.
During the first week of March, the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre handed over a specialised wheelchair to the KZN Care Association (KZNCA), which was received with deep and heartfelt gratitude.
Since the initiative’s inception more than a decade ago, in partnership with the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre, the Bread Run Programme at Al-Falaah College has distributed over a million slices of bread to vulnerable communities across the Durban area.

On Saturday, 21 February 2026, the Daughters of the Ummah (DOU) youth group hosted their fourth annual Ramadan programme “Fikr for Zikr”. Taking place at Al-Falaah College, Durban, the group welcomed an attendance of over 80 young and eager Muslimahs, between the ages of 9-15 years old.

An inspiring Ulama & Students Programme was held on Thursday, 29 January 2026 at the Darul Ihsan Centre, Sea Cow Lake, featuring the esteemed scholar Hazrat Mufti Taahir Saheb (Damat Barakatuhu), Khalifa of Hazrat Mufti Mahmood (RA) and Shaikhul Hadith and Nazim of Mazahir Uloom, Saharanpur, India.
On Saturday, 31st January 2026, the Darul Ihsan Social Department, Guideline, hosted a Webinar titled ‘Ihsan in Action: Parenting per the Prophet (SAW)’.

By the help and mercy of Almighty Allah, the Sir Lowry’s Pass Village Musalla, in Strand, Cape Town, has continues its Islamic and humanitarian efforts by serving the local community both spiritually and socially.
