Annual Zikr Programme Spiritually Uplifts and Motivates Muslimah Youth This Ramadan

The event opened with a beautiful Qirat recitation, followed by riveting descriptions of Jannah. By providing detailed descriptions of the doors, keys, rivers, homes, foods, and animals of Jannah, this exceptional destination was beautifully introduced to the young guests. It is the eternal abode promised by Allah for the believers, and was stressed to be a constant motivation to strive in good deeds and obedience to Him.

Similarly, attendees were provided easy ways to begin this journey, including the recitation of Surah Ikhlaas in abundance, as well as following the Sunnah of Muhammad (SAW).

Next, the ‘5 Habits of Highly Effective Muslims’ were discussed, highlighting the qualities of a believer they should adopt. This included good and clean habits, such as not harbouring hatred in one’s heart, controlling the tongue, obeying one’s parents, engaging in abundant Zikr, and not causing anyone inconvenience or difficulty.

The event thereafter moved on to practical activities. Attendees rotated in groups to complete a Qur’an Khatham, as well as engage in a fun, creative activity of crafting a small fruit platter to take home for Iftaar. Inspired by the materials and array of fruits mentioned in the Qur’an provided, the youth created beautiful and artistic servings.

With both tasks completed, a Q&A followed, wherein the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s Amir, Mufti Zubair Bayat, answered several questions pertaining to fasting and the month of Ramadan. The event then closed with a heartfelt and all-encompassing Du’a.

One attendee remarked, “It was nice. I enjoyed making the fruit platter.”

“I really liked the questions,” another attendee said. “We enjoyed everything. The creative part was so fun.”

These events hosted by Darul Ihsan are free to attend and can be accessed by prior arrangement via the Darul Ihsan Centre.
