Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) asking Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (Radiyallahu Anhu) to Recite the Quran Majeed to him

With great humility, Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (Radiyallahu Anhu) said to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), “O Messenger of Allah, should I recite to you whereas the Quraan Majeed was revealed upon you?”

Rasullullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “I desire to hear it being recited by someone other than myself.”

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (Radiyallahu Anhu) then began to recite Surah Nisa, while Rasullullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) listened attentively to his recitation. When he reached the forty-first verse of Surah Nisaa:
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۭ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شَهِيدًا

“How then will it be when We bring forth from every nation a witness, and We will bring you [O Muhammad] as a witness against these people?”

Rasullullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said to him, “You may stop reciting now.”

When Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (Radiyallahu Anhu) looked up at the Mubarak face of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), he found that the Mubarak eyes of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) were flowing with tears (due to the esteemed honour and lofty position which Allah Ta’ala will grant Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) on the day of Qiyamah, as mentioned in the above verse).
